What materials are used in Island Dog Hawaii™ Products?
As the maker of Hawaiian Dog Collars and Hawaiian Leashes, we put a lot of care into the product line. All our products are made in Hawaii with high quality nylon webbing. We use a 3700 pound rated webbing in the medium, large and X-large sizes, and on standard and long leashes. A 1000 pound rated nylon is used for the small product line. Plenty strong for your Dog. The fabrics ribbons are of 100% cotton and are made to wear in, not out. We added durability with the use of top stitching and reinforced box stitches throughout.
What about the buckle, D-ring and other hardware?
Island Dog Hawaii™ only uses the highest grade components available in the industry. Our collars feature the high-quality contoured side-release Wienerlock buckles and Stainless Steel D-rings. On our Hawaiian Leash, you will see diecast, nickel plated snap swivels.
What size will my dog need?
Hawaiian Dog Collars are available in several adjustable sizes. Carefully measure your Dog’s neck and add on about 1” to 1.5” for a comfortable fit. Remember, a collar should never be able to slip over your Dog’s head and you should be able to put two fingers under the collar while on your Dog. Your dog should always wear his Hawaiian Dog Collar equipped with identification tags while outside of your home.

My Hawaiian Dog Collar is dirty, now what do I do?
All Island Dog Hawaii™ Products are just like your favorite shirt and can be washed! We recommend Hand Wash in Cold Water with Mild Soap and Line Dry. Simple stuff.
